Thai caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Thursday invited all political parties and sectors of the society to meet on Sunday to seek solutions to the political deadlock. The permanent secretary for the Prime Minister's Office Tongthong Chantharangsu will be in charge of organizing the meeting, Yingluck said in a televised speech. A group of anti-government protesters on Thursday continued to besiege the Government House compound. They removed barbed wires inside the compound and required the police deployed there to leave. After the police rejected the request, protesters cut off the power supply to the Government House.
