Thai PM visits in Pakistan

Thailand’s Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra arrived at Nur Khan Airbase, Pakistan on Tuesday for a two-day official visit to further promote bilateral ties between Pakistan and Thailand, an official press release, issued here today said. The Pakistani Minister for Information Technology, Anusha Rehman received the Thai PM and a 19-gun salute boomed to herald her arrival. The bilateral visit of Thai Prime Minister to Pakistan is taking place after more than a decade on the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. The Thai Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising cabinet members and senior officials and businessmen. During her visit the Thai Prime Minister would meet the President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif who would host a banquet in her honor. The press release said that during the visit of Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, one agreement and two Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) would be signed adding that the Thai business delegation would hold separate meetings with their Pakistani counterpart on August 20. The inaugural session of Pakistan-Thailand Joint Trade Committee would be held tomorrow, on 21 August.
