Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has sent a cable of thanks to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif on the successful completion of Haj 2016.
The king thanked Almighty Allah for His bounty and generosity at the successful pilgrimage this year.
“It is an honor for Saudi Arabia to host and serve the pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques,” said the king in his cable.
As pilgrims streamed out of Makkah after the successful completion of all Haj rituals, congratulations poured in from all over the world thanking Saudi Arabia and its leadership for excellent services and top class arrangements.
Egyptian Mufti Shawqi Allam congratulated the Saudi leadership for “excellent preparations and coordination among all agencies that led to total success at Haj 2016.”
In a statement, Allam said the Saudi government and all Haj-related institutions exerted great efforts in providing excellent services to the pilgrims.
Kuwaiti Minister of Justice Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yacoub Al-Sane’a congratulated Saudi Arabia on the successful end to the Haj season.

“The success of Haj 2016 is attributed to the Saudi leadership’s commitment to the completion of significant projects in Makkah and other holy sites,” Al-Sane’a said in a cable sent to the Saudi minister of Haj and Umrah.
“The Saudi government’s dedication to ensuring a seamless and smooth Haj was palpable,” said the minister.
Indian Haj goodwill delegation chief Zafar Sareshwala said: “No government in the world would be able to live up to this phenomenal and challenging task. Saudi Arabia’s handling of this year’s Haj was absolutely unblemished and world class.”
In Islamabad, Haj and Religious Affairs Committee head at the Pakistani Parliament Hafiz Abdulkarim Bakhsh said: “The success of Haj 2016 is a result of the great efforts carried out by the government of King Salman.”
Hafiz thanked the Saudi government for excellent preparations at the holy sites and in Makkah and Madinah.
Indian Consul General Noor Rahman Sheikh said he had had the opportunity to be part of the Indian Haj management as a diplomat in Jeddah for seven years. “This has been the best Haj so far,” he said.
