Top political advisor Jia Qinglin and Vietnamese ruling party head Nguyen Phu Trong met Wednesday and pledged to further the strategic partnership between the two states. \"Both China and Vietnam should...attach the most importance to the overall relationship and take the common strategic interest as a priority,\" said Jia, chairman of the Chinese People\'s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee. Jia, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, called on the two ruling parties to learn from each other to consolidate the rule of communist parties and bolster their socialism cause. He also asked the two states to handle all issues with mutual trust, seeking common ground while shelving differences and through friendly consultations. The CPC, the Chinese government and the CPPCC will bolster the friendship, cooperation and all-round strategic partnership with the Vietnamese side, Jia said. Trong hailed China\'s development, saying Vietnam will implement consensus between the two leaderships and enhance cooperation with China. Trong is in Beijing for a five-day official visit at the invitation of his CPC counterpart Hu Jintao. Earlier on Wednesday, Vice Premier Li Keqiang accompanied Trong on a trip to a national innovation demonstration zone in Beijing\'s Zhongguancun Science Park (Z-Park), known as \"China\'s Silicon Valley.\" At the park\'s exhibition center, they visited high-tech electronic products in such sectors as public health, energy-saving technology and environmental protection. Li said establishing the park was an important decision of the government to implement the strategy of developing the country with science and education to beef up innovative capability and national strength. \"We will further technology cooperation with Vietnam, and jointly strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the socialist market economy,\" Li said, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee. Trong highly commended China\'s achievements in technology innovation, saying there is huge potential for bilateral cooperation. The Z-Park was officially established as the first national science park in 1988. There are nearly 20,000 high-tech enterprises in the park.
