The economic adviser to the Egyptian tourism minister praised on Wednesday the outcome of a program recently launched to increase the number of flights to Egypt.
The number of German tourists increased from 16,000 in August to 70,000 tourists in September, Adela Ragab told MENA.
Also, the volume of Arab tourism increased by 15 to 30 percent this year, she said, adding that the number of tourists from some Arab countries increased by more than 50 percent.
The travel ban imposed by Russia and Britain on Egypt still has a bad effect on the tourism sector in the country, she noted.
