Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Syrian National Coalition for Opposition and Revolutionary Forces, Heysem al-Maleh on Thursday said that Libya began preparations to hand over the Syrian Embassy in Tripoli to the Syrian National Coalition. Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Maleh stressed that preparations to hand over the Syrian Embassy in Tripoli to the Syrian National Coalition were about to be completed in the next few days. Reminding that the Arab League gave Syria\'s seat in the League to the Syrian National Coalition, Maleh called on Arab countries to hand over Syrian embassies to the Syrian National Coalition. Syrian opposition opened its first embassy in the Arab countries in Doha. Touching on the resignation of Moaz al-Khatib, Maleh underlined that Khatib\'s resignation was not legally valid. \"The Syrian National Coalition does not accept resignations published on Facebook. If Khatib insists on his resignation, he needs to present his resignation to the General Assembly meeting of the Syrian National Coalition to be held in Cairo on April 20,\" Maleh noted. Moaz al-Khatib on March 26 had announced through his Facebook account that he was resigning from the Syrian National Coalition as their head.
