
Tunisian Interim President Mohammed Mouncef Al Marzouki stressed Sunday that the Tunisian administration was fully behind the Libyan people.The Tunisian President’s office released a statement following a phone call he held with the Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zidan to discuss the latest developments in Libya.Zidan said yesterday Friday that Libyan security was confronting a small military cell that belonged to Al Qaeda. Zidan added that the Libyan security forces were on the verge of ending the battle. Also yesterday, the Libyan National General Congress declared a state of alert in the army due to deteriorating security situation in the South. The Libyan army was facing counter-revolutionary forces in the city of Sabha.
