The Tunisian opposition threatened Saturday to vote against the draft constitution if the incoming prime minister decides to keep the current interior minister in his cabinet. Mehdi Jemaa, the incoming prime minister, was to present the lineup of his cabinet Saturday afternoon, but the announcement was delayed as the opposition demanded Interior Minister Lotfi Ben Jeddou be replaced. The opposition called Ben Jeddou a political murderer as he was unable to halt the surge of violent religious extremism in Tunisia as interior minister of the ruling Islamist Ennahdha party. "This is not personal," Maya Jribi, general secretary of the oppositional Republican Party, was quoted as saying by Mosaique FM. "All the ministers of the Troika symbolize failure and we don't want to see them in the new government."
