Tunisian interim President Mohamed Moncef Marzouki met here last night with Vice-President of the European Commission Antonio Tajani and his European business delegation. After the meeting, the EU official said that talks during the meeting dealt with prospects for deepening investment and trade exchange between the two sides. He stressed that President Marzouki gave him and the delegation a reassuring message about the path of the democratic transition experience in Tunisia, which will encourage the European businessmen to return to invest in Tunisia. The European official considered that Tunisia could become a model for democratic transformation in the region. The European Commission Vice-President and his accompanying delegation visited Tunisia to participate in the Business and technology convention, held during the period November 28 to 30.
