Turkey\'s parliament speaker on Thursday asked his Iraqi counterpart to take actions to tackle \" terrorist acts\" against Turkey from Iraqi territories, the semi- official Anatolia news agency reported. \"Territories of a country should not be used as a ground for planning of terrorist acts and training of terrorists,\" Turkey\'s Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek said as he met his Iraqi counterpart Osama al-Nujaifi in Ankara. Al-Nujaifi, for his part, said the Iraqi constitution did not allow any group to use the Iraqi soils as a place to harm another country, and Iraqi executives were doing what they had to do regarding terrorism harming Turkey. Iraq is willing to hold a consultative meeting in Baghdad with participation of parliament speakers of Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia to solve such issues, he added. In response, Cicek said Turkey was in principle supporting Iraq \'s initiatives to host a parliament speaker meeting in Iraq in order to discuss regional problems.
