Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Meshal on Thursday said that Turkey continued to support Palestine even after Israel apologized to Turkey. Meshal\'s comments came in Cairo in response to circles who criticized Turkey\'s acceptance of the Israeli apology regarding the \'Mavi Marmara\' raid. On March 22, Israel apologized to Turkey for the fatal raid on \'Mavi Marmara\' aid ship in which nine Turks were killed back in May 2010. \"It is not our business to see whether or not Turkey has relations with Israel. Yes, we are against building relations with Israel. However, the Turkish administration attaches importance to being on the side of Palestine,\" Meshal stated. Meanwhile, Palestinian experts on Thursday underlined that important tasks were waiting for Meshal who was reelected as the Hamas Political Bureau Chief. Palestinian experts cited the national consensus process among Palestinian groups, relations between the West and the Arab world, increasing the military strength of Hamas in Gaza, the cease-fire with Israel and the conditions of Palestinians in Israeli prisons as the main tasks facing Meshal.
