
Turkish police arrested 15 Syrians trying to illegally sneak into Greece, through the Turkish borders on Monday. Turkey\'s Ikhlas News Agency said the Syrians were on their way from Edirne Governorate, north western Turkey, adding that people smuggling and organized crime prevention team in Edirne followed a small bus carrying 15 Syrians, including four children. According to the agency, police transferred the Syrians to the foreigners\' department in the Directorate of Security, while arresting the Turkish bus driver and interrogating him. The Turkish-Bulgarian borders, the Turkish-Greek borders, and Turkish beaches are witnessing increasing numbers of illegal immigrants who travel through sea and land in the attempt to enter European countries, whereas the Turkish police are putting huge efforts to curb this phenomenon.
