Ankara - Anadolu

Turkey\'s Minister of European Union (EU) Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis stated on Thursday that even the worst democracy was better than best military coup, regarding the latest incidents in Egypt. Speaking after \'Erasmus Exchange Programme 2013 donation delivery results\', Bagis said the coup process in Egypt was not completed yet and expressed his hopes for Egyptians to retake the power and strenghten democracy. \"I want to emphasize once more that each of us should stand against any kind of coups, wherever it happens on earth. Even the worst democray is better than best coup. Even in times, when countries\' democracies progress in small steps, we know that they are firm steps. However, unfortunately, countries are carried to dark times during coups. God shall never make such strangeness happen to countries.\"         Bagis also said the process in Egypt was not only important for itself, but for whole world, and added the country played a critical role in Middle East. - EU reactions different on coup in Egypt- Bagis underlined EU\'s reactions and statements were insufficient, reminding both EU\'s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton\'s and several other EU countries\' statements on Egyptian coup.     Saying there were different approaches from EU countries to the issue, Bagis said, \"Besides Turkey\'s reassurance, many other EU countries are not reassured about the process,\" underlining Bildt\'s statements that EU \"needed to make a covering statement.\" Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces of Egypt Abdul Fatah Al Sisi had announced the military coup in Egypt on July 3, 2013. Egyptian President Mohammad Morsi refused the announcements made by Defense Minister Abdel Fatah El Sisi describing it as a “military coup”. The Revolutionary Guards moved ousted president Mohamed Morsi to an undisclosed location. Egypt\'s Constitutional Court head Adly Mansour was sworn in on Thursday as interim president of the country. Mansour said, “I was honored to receive my new mission from the only party that has the right to do that: the Egyptian people.\"
