Turkey has bombarded targets for the ISIS and PYD group, the Syrian affiliate of the PKK organization, in northern Syria.
According to sources, the Turkish army shelled ISIS targets near the border town of Jarablus, as well as PYD positions north of the nearby city of Manbij late on Monday, Turkish Anadolu Agency (AA) reported. Both areas are located near the Syrian-Turkish border.
Two mortar bombs landed in a Turkish residential area on the Syrian border Tuesday, AA reported. There were no injuries in Karkamis, which lies around a kilometer (mile) across the frontier from Jarabulus, controlled by ISIS.
`The town lies in Gaziantep province, the capital of which was hit by a suicide bomb Saturday that killed 54 and has been blamed on ISIS.
