Turkey to \'keep on the EU reforms\'

Turkey\'s minister of EU affairs and the chief negotiator Egemen Bagis said Monday that Turkey would carry on with the reforms within the framework of EU focusing more on the process rather than the outcome. Bagis went to Croatian capital Zagreb for the celebrations held for the country\'s entrance to EU. Stating it was not a right thing to do to make a comparison between Turkey and Croatia in terms of EU membership, Bagis said \"Turkey is one of the most dynamic countries in Europe with its 76-million population, the fastest growing economy as well as having the strongest army while Croatia is a country with a population of 4.5 millions.\" \"The process of EU is vitally important as Turkey becomes a country meeting European standards and Europe leads its way towards future with firm steps,\" said Bagis. Emphasising that the process itself was much more important than the outcome, he said \"No stop in EU process, keep on the reforms.\" He stated Croatian people made a good effort concerning EU membership in 8 years and said \"They stressed that Turkey could have confidence in Croatia for its support to Turkey in EU membership process.\" During his visits in Zagreb, Turkish minister held meetings with high level authorities and evaluated on the process of Turkey\'s EU membership.
