Turkish and Danish prime ministers meet in Copenhagen

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is currently in Denmark on an official visit, came together with Denmark\'s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt on Wednesday. Prior to their tete-a-tete meeting at the Christianborg Palace, both PMs posed for the cameras. Denmark\'s Prime Minister Thorning-Schmidt said they were happy to receive the Turkish delegation, and told Erdogan, \"despite the snowy weather, we hope you enjoy it.\" After their tete-a-tete meeting, meetings between Turkish and Danish delegations took place. -Turkish pm targets 5 bln USD bilateral trade volume with Denmark Turkish and Danish delegations met under the leadership of Erdogan and Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt in Copenhagen.  Erdogan said Turkey-Denmark could reach 5 billion USD in annual bilateral trade by the end of 2015. Erdogan said that the annual bilateral trade volume reached 1.7 billion USD by the end of 2012. Currently, 550 Danish companies were operating in Turkey, said Erdogan, expressing belief that Turkish-Danish economic relations would be developed further by the end of 2015. Erdogan also thankedDenmark as it sent military experts while Patriot defense systems were being installed in Turkey as well as for its support to Turkey\'s EU membership process. Meanwhile, Danish minister said that there were very sound relations between Turkey and Denmark, adding that the commerce and investments between the two countries were increasing each day. Schmidt also said that they envisaged to increase Denmark\'s exports to Turkey by 50 percent till 2016.
