Ankara - Anadolu

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, \"To take measure for border security does not mean developing an attitude towards any group in Syria.\" Speaking at the joint press conference with his Indian counterpart Salman Khurshid at the ministry on Wednesday, Davutoglu replied to journalists\' questions about the developments on the Syrian border. Davutoglu stated that Turkey had to take certain measures to protect its border security, reminding that the death of a Turkish citizen in Turkish town of Ceylanpinar at Syrian border raised the public\'s sensitivity about the border security. \"To take measure does not mean developing an attitude towards any group in Syria. The developments in Syria and Iraq do not only affect the future of Kurds, but also Arabs and Turkmens,\" said Davutoglu. Davutoglu asserted that Turkey\'s vision was to contribute in the establishment of a new regional order in which all communities would live brotherly, in ethnical and sectarian peace. Referring to the solution process, Davutoglu said, \"Solution process in Turkey would serve as a very good example for a new peaceful regional order.\" \"We should not allow developments outside and between any ethnical and sectarian groups to affect the solution process negatively.\" He reiterated his position about the claims of Bashar Assad\'s recognition of Ras Al Ayn, a town in Syria\'s Turkey border seized by Democratic Union Party (PYD), a Syrian offshoot of terrorist organization PKK, by saying, \"recognition of de facto situations would lead to further bloodshed, and turn the bilateral clash into multilateral one.\" \"We do not consider ethnical and sectarian identities. When our Kurdish brothers were treated unjustly by the regime in the past, we defended their rights, too,\" said Davutoglu. Besides, he expressed that they were in close contact with leader of Kurdish Regional Government Masood Barzani, and would continue to keep in touch regarding the issue. -We support India\'s NSG membership, says Turkish FM- Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Turkey supported India\'s membership to Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG). About nuclear non-proliferation, Davutoglu said, Turkey would support India to be member of Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), a move that would boost nuclear-armed India\'s status as an atomic power. He added, Turkey did not favor any restrictions on peaceful nuclear technology, while wishing a world purified from nuclear weapons. Stating that it was the first visit by an Indian foreign minister in the last ten years, Davutoglu said, \"This is a historical visit.\" Both Davutoglu and Khurshid announced that they agreed on an action plan for 2014-2015 for improving the bilateral ties. Within the plan, explained, Davutoglu, Indian President Pranab Kumar Mukherjee will visit Turkey in October, and two states will have bilateral meetings on foreign ministerial level every year. Davutoglu said Turkey wanted to open a consulate general in Hyderabad, the capital and largest city of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. He also said he would pay a visit to India for Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) meeting in November, and added, \"We are working towards gathering joint economic commission. There is an increase in mutual investments but the potential is much more.\" Upon a question about Turkish and Indian partnership under UN umbrella, Khurshid said the two countries were already in close dialogue, however UN, as it was founded according to the war-time conditions, needed to revise itself on certain points, which would take a while.
