Turkish FM due in Iran in late November

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davotoglu is slated to pay an official visit to the Iranian capital in late November to discuss further expansion and consolidation of bilateral ties between the two friendly states. Davotoglu will visit Tehran on November 26-27 at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Mohammad-Javad Zarif. During his 2-day stay in Tehran, the Turkish top diplomat will confer with the Iranian officials on a variety of subjects pertaining to bilateral relations and the regional and international events. Both Iran and Turkey have broadened their relations in various fields of economy, security, trade, education, energy and culture in the recent years. The two sides have exchanged several politico-economic delegations during the last few months. Turkey imports more than 90 percent of its oil and gas. Iran and Turkey are determined to boost their trade exchanges to $35bln in the near future.
