The Turkish Ombudsman Mehmet Nihat Omeroglu met European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule on Thursday. Fule said at a joint press conference, \"I have no doubt that you made tangible contribution with your colleagues to Turkish citizens.\" Fule repeated that they would like to see Turkey\'s negotiation process go on and that optimistic developments in the next presidency of the EU took place. Omeroglu, in his part, said that reforms in the important chapters like judiciary and fundamental rights and justice, freedom and security were fulfilled. \"To join the EU is a constant government policy,\" Omeroglu underlined and added that they were ready to cooperate with EU institutions.
