Turkish ship fire brought under control

A fire broke out on Thursday in a Turkish ship in Jordan’s territorial waters, nearly 700 meters off the Aqaba port. The fire was brought under control and no casualties were reported, Commissioner of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Kamel Mahadin said, hailing efforts exerted to evacuate the crew members and put off the fire. The concerned parties will soon follow up on causes of the fire, he said.
