
The UAE Ambassador to Ethiopia, Ghazi Abdullah Salem Al Mahri, yesterday met with Abdulaziz Mohammed, Ethiopia's Minister of Finance and Economic Cooperation, in Addis Ababa, the country’s capital.
They discussed ways to boost joint co-operation between the two countries in various economic fields as well as co-operation between the two sides in a number of other issues.
Mohammed stressed the importance of increasing the UAE’s investments in Ethiopia which will add a qualitative value to the Ethiopian economy.
Ethiopia's Minister of Finance and Economic Cooperation also promised the Ethiopian government's support for Emirati investments through the provision of facilitation and bonuses to explore the appropriate domains, as well as its close follow up to resolve any challenges and obstacles these projects may encounter in Ethiopia.
Al Mahri confirmed the UAE's desire to increase the volume of Emirati investments in the Ethiopian markets due to the strong ties between the two friendly countries.
