
The UAE took part in the Arab Focal Points Meeting at the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) at the Arab League Secretariat General in Cairo today.
Jassem Mohammed Al Ali, Minister Plenipotentiary at the International Organisations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, represented the UAE in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Samia Bibars, Head of Culture and Dialogue at the Arab League, said that the implementation of programmes under the Arab common strategy for Alliance of Civilizations is well under way.
The meeting, chaired by Algeria, was attended by the officials in charge of Focal Points in Egypt, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Oman, Morocco, the Comoros, Lebanon and Palestine.
