The UAE is keen to enhance strategic co-operation and bilateral relations with South Korea, according to Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, the country's Minister of State for Defence Affairs.
"We continue to have strategic partnership and co-operation to complement co-operation with South Korea in other spheres, as mandated by the policy pursued by the UAE, and also to enhance relations, exchange experiences and boost co-operation based on the capabilities and potential of both countries," Al Bowardi stated during an official visit to Seoul on an invitation from South Korean Minister of National Defence Han Min-koo.
Al Bowardi was accompanied by high-ranking officers and officials from the Ministry of Defence and the UAE Armed Forces.
He visited the South Korean Ministry of Defence and also met Chang Myoung-jin, head of the Defence Acquisition Programme Administration.
The visit underscores the unique bilateral relations and strategic partnership between the UAE and South Korea, as well as the positive and qualitative growth of these ties.
It also reflects the two countries’ desire to promote co-operation in defence and other areas in line with their profound relations.
