
The UAE has gone along way in upholding human rights, Speaker of Arab Parliament Ahmed Mohammed Al Jarwan said. He told Emirates News Agency (WAM) after a review of the UAE national human rights report that the UAE is hosting over 200 nationalities and this provides a fertile ground and hospitable environment in which everyone is enjoying his rights. He also highlighted the importance of the first UAE national human rights report regarding the Arab human rights charter which was reviewed during the fifth meeting of the Arab League's human rights committee held today in Cairo. Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to Arab League presented the report and clarified some observations. The review session was conducted in a positive manner.
