UK minister for Africa meets Ugandan VP

UK Minister for Africa Henry Bellingham met here today with the Ugandan Vice President Edward Ssekandi who is heading his country's delegation to London 2012 Olympic Games. During the meeting they discussed a range of issues including British investment in Uganda and human rights. Following the meeting Bellingham said that Uganda is a valued partner for the UK, and that London commends Uganda’s important contribution to the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), stressing that UK is committed to further strengthening the relationship between the two countries.
