The United Kingdom's Royal Navy warship Daring docked at Tien Sa seaport in Vietnam's central Da Nang city on Wednesday for a four-day port call. Daring's visit to Vietnam is a part of celebrations to mark 40 years of diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam, and a demonstration of the strength of the UK-Vietnam bilateral relations and of the growing warmth of defense relationship, the UK embassy in Vietnam said in a press release. During the visit, the ship will host the annual bilateral Defense Working Group. The meeting will focus on exploring areas for greater UK and Vietnamese cooperation, finding areas where British businesses can be involved, an exchange of views on strategic regional issues, and strengthening relationship through defined and extensive training exchange opportunities, said the embassy. The ship's crew will also be involved in a range of activities on shore, including a volleyball game against the Vietnamese Navy, visit to orphanage and a performance of marching music by the Royal Marines Band in Da Nang.
