Ukraine Ambassador to Tehran Alexander Samarsky said on Tuesday that Tehran-Kiev ties are on growing trend. He told IRNA that exchanges of delegations between Iran and Ukraine during the first six months of the current year shows the two countries have made great stride toward expansion of political and economic relations. The diplomat cited the upcoming meetring of Iran-Ukraine Joint Economic Commission in Kiev this month, saying that the commission paves the ways to boost the political and economic cooperation further. “Trade has grown up to one billion dollars last year, and for the last 9 months it exceeded one billion dollars. We are expecting trade to reach 1.5 billion dollars for the coming three months,\' Samarsky added. He outlined the cooperation fields as energy, steel mills and airplane manufacturing and said Ukraine is prepared to base trade for three billion dollars a year.
