UN calls on Syria to end border violations against Lebanon

United Nations (UN) Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on Syria to end border violations against Lebanon and to respect the sovereignty of Lebanon. Speaking to reporters, Ban Ki-moon\'s Spokesperson Martin Nesirky underlined that Syria\'s helicopter attack on the Arsal region on March 18 violated Lebanon\'s sovereignty and was a cause for concerns. \" Ban Ki-moon wantedSyria to end border violations against Lebanon in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions 1559, 1680, and 1701, and to show respect for Lebanon\'s sovereignty and territorial integrity,\" Nesirky also said.
