The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the occupied Palestinian territory (OCHA) reported that more than 3,000 Palestinians are still displaced in Gaza due to the loss or damage of their homes following the latest Israeli attack. The UN radio on Wednesday quoted its Humanitarian Coordinator in the occupied Palestinian territories and Deputy Special Middle East coordinator, James Rowley as saying that citizens of the Strip are the ones who have borne the brunt of the latest Israeli escalation. \"This situation must be changed and we call all the active political sectors in the region and abroad to take the necessary steps to ensure peace and stability in the arena\" he said.
