
A UN official has warned that the bloodshed in the Central African Republic could turn into a genocide if the international community doesn’t act to stop killings.The director of UN humanitarian operations John Ging told Canadian CBC news network that “the crisis has all the elements that we have seen elsewhere in places like Rwanda and Bosnia.” “The seeds are there for a genocide, there is no doubt,” he added.Red Cross Society in Central African Republic also warned from humanitarian crisis in the country. President of Central African Republic Red Cross Society Mbao Bogo said that hospital are running out of medicines and anesthetics. “All indicators show that the country on the edge of an appalling humanitarian catastrophe,” he said describing the situation as a silent disaster has not received enough attention or support at the international level.
