The UN Human rights council (UNHRC) Approved here today a draft resolution proposed by the organization of Islamic Cooperation ( OIC) concerning the protection of the human rights of Muslims in Myanmar. The Resolution indicated the UNHRC was very concerned about the recent developments in regard to Muslims in Myanmar, leading the council to issue an immediate call for the end of Human rights violations against Muslims in the Southeastern country. The Paper called for taking swift measures to bring those committing violations to justice so that they can be punished for their crimes. The resolution urged religious leaders in Myanmar to take a stance and stop any acts of discrimination against Muslims and minorities. The UN and EU commended the resolution, saying that all acts against minorities, including the Muslim Rohingyas, should halt.
