UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon asserted the importance of providing job opportunities for youth to combat terrorism.
Jobless young men are more subject to being affected by the inciting discourse given by terror groups, the UN chief asserted.
He made the remarks during the inauguration of the national dialogue conference on employment.
Also, Ban attributed the unemployment problem in Tunisia to the significant gap between the high number of university graduates and the available job openings.
Furthermore, he called for engaging the private sector in youth empowerment programs, urging the international community to help Tunisia achieve its democratic transition in line with the economic development.
