\'Unknown assailant\' indicted in assassination attempt against Aoun

Public Prosecutor in the South Judge Samih al-Hajj transferred the case file of the assassination attempt against Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun to First Investigative Judge in the South Moneef Barakat after he indicted “an unknown assailant,” the National News Agency reported on Tuesday. The report, however, did not elaborate any further. In September, Aoun said he was targeted by an assassination attempt after local media reported his convoy came under fire in the southern city of Sidon.
