US condemns attacks on W. Bank mosques

The United States has strongly condemned the attack on Palestinian mosques in the West Bank. The recent attacks on West Bank mosques are \"dangerous and provocative,\" the State Department said in a statement. The statement called for the perpetrators to be arrested and prosecuted, adding that violence would only hurt efforts to end the conflict. Three mosques have been sprayed with graffiti in Hebrew since Monday, after Israeli troops demolished three homes in the settlement outpost of Migron. No one claimed responsibility for the acts, but settlers have carried out similar acts before. This week, a West Bank mosque was set afire.
