Afghan president Hamid Karzai has ordered US Special Forces to leave the eastern province of Wardak within two weeks. A spokesman for the president says the decision was taken during a meeting of the National Security Council. Karzai said, \"The meeting of the National Security Council ordered the Afghan Defense Ministry to pull out the Special Forces or the US Special Forces from the areas of Maidan Wardak province within two weeks.\" The strategically significant Wardak province has been the focus of recent counter-insurgency operations. The decision to expel the US Special Forces comes after allegations that Afghans working alongside them are torturing and abusing other Afghans.
