The United States has agreed to supply three Super Cobra helicopters to replace those Turkey lost fighting Kurdish rebels, a U.S. diplomat says. Francis Ricciardone, the U.S. ambassador to Ankara, announced the deal Friday, the TGRT news channel reported. Also Friday, three people died in two attacks by Kurdish nationalists, Hurriyet Daily News said. A suicide bomber who struck a police base in the southern province of Antalya died, while two officers were wounded. In Sirnak province in the southeast, two soldiers were killed and three were wounded in an ambush. Authorities made a total of 26 arrests Thursday and Friday, 13 in Bitlis and 13 in Istanbul. Some of those arrested were leaders of the pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party.
