A US pilotless aircraft on Friday fired missiles into Pakistan’s South Waziristan tribal region and killed three people, security sources in the region said. The spy aircraft fired three missiles on a house at Angor Ada, a remote border village, in South Waziristan. Witnesses said that five other people were injured. It was not immediately clear as to who was targeted in the strikes. The US routinely fires missiles into Pakistan’s Waziristan tribal region to what Americans say aimed at targeting hideouts of the militants. Pakistan opposes strikes by US unmanned aircraft but the US has ruled out any change in the policy. Trinesmen say that US strikes also kill innocent civilians. The fresh strike came a day after Pakistan’s mainstream political leaders condemned threats from senior US military leaders to launch unilateral military operation in Pakistan against the armed militant groups.
