US State Department on Friday published its Human Rights Report. In the section on Turkey, the report pointed out to Turkey\'s increasing cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Turkey\'s strong support to meet the humanitarian needs of Syrians staying in Turkey. Turkey works closely with the UNHCR and other human rights organizations in helping those displaced, refugees, asylum seekers and stateless individuals, the US report stated. Turkish government continue to keep the doors open to Syrians and strongly meets the needs of Syrians in Turkey, the US report stressed. Turkey has established 14 camps for Syrians and spent more than 1 billion USD for the Syrian refugees, the US report underlined. The US report mentioned that terrorist organization PKK was using child soldiers. Meanwhile, speaking to reporters after the State Department report was published on Friday, a senior US diplomat working in the area of democracy, human rights and labor, Uzra Zeya underlined that the constitutional reform process in Turkey presented an opportunity to better protect minorities, women and children and in developing freedom of expression.
