US strongly condemns bus bombing in Israel

The US strongly condemned here late Sunday the bombing of a bus near Tel Aviv, Israel. State Department Spokeswoman, Jennifer Psaki, said in a statement "we strongly condemn the bombing of a bus near Tel Aviv today." She also stressed that "violent acts targeting civilians are deplorable." Israel had yesterday reported injury of a police officer who was attempting to defuse a bomb planted on a passenger bus in a coastal area of southern Tel Aviv. Authorities said police and security bodies believe the bus was the actual target of the bomb.
