Vietnam seeks drone from Belarus

Vietnam plans to buy Belarusian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said at a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Minsk. \"We have great hopes for scientific and technical cooperation. I mean unmanned aerial systems, contracts for which we are signing within the framework of your visit, and promising joint projects in the area of biological and information technologies as well as healthcare,\" Myasnikovich said. Belarusian Prime Minister also welcomed registration of a joint project in computer design, micro- and nano-electronic systems. According to Belarusian official, during the visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister to Belarus the parties signed 10 commercial contracts worth over $100mln, Xinhua reported. Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam attaches great importance to cooperation with Belarus and will do its utmost to step up cooperation in military, technical, political and economic areas. The cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam is developing. The trade turnover between Belarus and Vietnam exceeded $184mln in 2012. Belarus exports potash fertilizers, truck assembly kits, tractors, mine dump trucks, spare parts for automobiles and tractors, tires, bearings, food industry products.
