Wall, barbed wires to cover Turkey, Syria borderline

Turkish Minister of Customs and Trade Hayati Yazici said Friday that Turkey\'s 2.4 kilometers land where there is a link road between Cilvegozu border gate facilities and Syria border will be covered with wall and barbed wires due to geographical position and to the degree of the need for safety requirement. Yazici issued a written statement with regards to \"security wall on border\" news in some media organs. \"Barrier system, terrain avoidance system, lightening system, telephone and camera system will take place in the project,\" said Yazici. Reminding that there is 2.9 km length link road between Cilvegozu border gate facilities and Syria border and 2.4 km of this road belongs to Turkey while 500 meters belongs to Syria, Yazici stated that Turkey\'s 2.4 kilometers land will be covered with wall and barbed wires due to geographical position and to the degree of the need for safety requirement.
