US president’s National Security Adviser Tom Donilon is expected to visit Moscow on April 14-15 to discuss new steps in Russian-American relations, National Security Council’s spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden confirmed on Thursday. She said the national security adviser will visit Moscow on April 14-15 to meet with Russian officials and discuss next moves in bilateral relations as well as key issues of foreign policy, security and economy. According to the spokeswoman the visit offers an important possibility to hold consultations ahead of meetings of the US and Russian presidents, Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin, scheduled for this year. It was reported earlier that during his visit to Russia, Tom Donilton intends to discuss issues related to arms control and START Treaty implementation. Besides, one of these days White House spokesman Jay Carney expressed confidence that the situation around North Korea would be discussed during the trip.
