Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi headed on Friday to Turkey to participate in the Arab-Turkish Forum, which will start today in Istanbul. In a statement to Saba, al-Qirbi said that the forum will discuss developing the Arab-Turkish relations in all areas, and will focus on the issues of Syria and Palestine. He indicated to the importance of Arab-Turkish concerted efforts to end the tragedy in Syria so as to restore its stability and achieve the peace based on dialogue , as well as providing more support for the Palestinian authority and people who are still suffering from Israeli oppression Al-Qirbi also alluded to the importance of Turkey, because of its economic and political status in the region and the importance of developing Arab-Turkish relations to serve the Arab and Islamic common interests.
