Yemen, UN discuss cooperation aspects

Yemen and the United Nations discussed here on Tuesday aspects of joint cooperation and ways of enhancing them. This came during the meeting of Foreign Minister Dr. Abu Bakr al-Qirbi with Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs and Coordinator of Emergency Relief and her accompanying delegation. Al-Qirbi welcomed the UN’s delegation , hailing the efforts made by the Organization in the humanitarian field in Yemen. He confirmed Yemen’s readiness to provide the required support to facilitate the organization’s work in Yemen, stressing the importance of continuing support by the UN and the donor countries so as to contribute to the success of the political process in Yemen. For her part, the UN’s official praised the efforts of the Yemeni government in facilitating all difficulties facing the workers in the humanitarian field in Yemen, confirming the readiness of the UN organization to continue to support Yemen to meet the necessary humanitarian needs and achieve the development.
