Yemen, USA discuss cooperation to train policemen

Yemen and the USA discussed here security cooperation and coordination between the two countries and ways of enhancing them, particularly in the area of training policemen. This came in a meeting brought together Minister of Interior Abdul-Qader Qahtan and US ambassador to Yemen Gerald Feierstein. The minister hailed the support and assistance provided by the US administration for the Yemeni government in the transitional period, pointing to the achievements made so far to reorganize the police according to the highest security levels to cope with the current stage requirements. The US ambassador underlined his country\'s support for Yemen in all political, economic, security and military areas, praising the progress made by the National Dialogue Conference (NDC), which meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people under the unity and stability of the country.
