
Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basindwa met on Wednesday the newly appointed Qatari ambassador to Yemen Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Fehaid. At the meeting, the Prime Minister welcomed the Qatari ambassador and wished him all the successes in his mission to strengthen cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, stressing that he would enjoy all forms of support from the government to facilitate its work. Basindwa extended warm congratulations to Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani on the occasion of taking the reins of power in the State of Qatar, in a civilized and historical transition of power. He expressed his full confidence that Sheikh Tamim would be a worthy successor to the best predecessor, and will continue to course of progress and successes achieved for the Qatari people previously. For his part, the Qatari ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister, underlining keenness on strengthening frameworks of common areas of cooperation between Yemen and Qatari at all levels. He added that he would spare no effort to carry out his diplomatic duties, to serve the brotherly relations and the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.
