Yemeni vice president meets GCC secretary general

Yemen\'\'s Vice President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Wednesday with the GCC Secretary general Abdul Latif al-Zayyani, and GCC Assistand Secretary General Dr. Saeed Al-Ammar, who are now visiting Yemen. During the meeting they discussed the latest developments and circumstances in Yemen. The Yemen Vice President acquainted al-Zayyani with the outcomes of the meetings and consultations he has made at the various local, regional and international levels. Hadi said that his appreciation of the GCC secretary general and his efforts to solve the ongoing crisis, and all Yemenis valued such efforts of the GCC\'\'s states in general and al-Zayyani in particular. Al-Zayyani expressed that the GCC\'\'s hopes for Yemen to overcome the crisis, saying \"Yemen is part of the Gulf area\". He said that his visit aimed to get acquainted with the actual political situation in Yemen and the readiness level at all sides to discuss the details of the Gulf initiative.
