
Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, and Chairman of Zayed Housing Programme, has signed two contracts for building and maintaining two residential complexes in the Emirates of Umm Al Qaiwain and Ras Al Khaimah at a total cost of AED622.65 m.
The first AED298.65 m contract, signed with the National Gulf Construction Company, includes construction and maintenance of 320 houses in the first phase of Butain Al Samer Residential Community in Ras Al Khaimah.
According to the contract, site preparation work will commence in April while foundation work will begin in May.
The fully-serviced Butain Al Samer residential community is the first social city focussing on mobility of pedestrians through corridors where 50 percent student inhabitants will go to school either on foot or by bicycle.
The minister inked the second contract which worth AED324 m with the Combined Group Contracting Co. to build and maintain 232 houses on a total area of 833,448 square metres in Umm Al Qaiwain.
Both projects have scalable designs of houses that fit the Emirati family with world class health, educational, social, religious, retail and recreational services.
