The ambassador and deputy head of Iran’s representative mission in the United Nations referred to efforts of the Zionist regime\'s representative to elude from answering to questions posed by the numerous crimes of this illegitimate regime. Es\'haq Al-Habib in a meeting of the UN Security Council, which was considering the Middle East development, especially the Palestinian issue, on Tuesday, underlined that accusations against Iran are aimed at deviating attentions from the Zionist regime\'s brutality against Palestinians. He allocated parts of his statements to enlightening of the remarks of the Zionist regime\'s representative in the UN, Ron Prosor, who instead of answering to questions posed by the numerous crimes of this regime in the occupied territories was trying to put forward a number of unfounded accusations against Iran. Referring to Iran\'s efforts, as one of the main countries to oppose all kinds of mass-destruction weapons, including the nuclear ones, Al-Habib pointed out that Iran as a member of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty has repeatedly declared that nuclear weapons are inhumane and have no place in Iran’s defensive structure. He added that Iran\'s nuclear activities are under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and inspectors of the agency have repeatedly visited Iran\'s installations and in the next week another group of IAEA experts are going to visit Iran. The Iranian diplomat called on the UN Security Council to put in its agenda the issue of illegal nuclear arsenals of the Zionist regime and condemn its possession, because the regime is the biggest and most dangerous threat against the whole world and it has a history full of war crimes, invasion and crimes against humanity. Al-Habib added that the UN Security Council should ask the regime to destroy its nuclear arsenals and join the NPT and put all its atomic installations under the supervision of the IAEA. He evaluated the besieging of the Gaza Strip as a collective punishment and a crime against humanity, which has been prohibited by Geneva Convention IV. Al-Habib in his remarks termed the confidence-building between Iran and its neighbors and countries of the region as one of the priorities of Iran\'s foreign policy and added that there are efforts to create disunion among the Middle East nations, while these people have been living together peacefully for many centuries. It needs to be said that Ron Prosor in the morning session of the UN Security Council had claimed that uranium enrichment over 20 percent in Fordo installation is a deviation from the peaceful nature of Iran\'s nuclear program and Iran intends to produce atomic weapons, so Iran is the most dangerous threat against the world, which Iran’s ambassador to the UN answered his accusations in the afternoon session.
