100 soldiers killed in al-Shabaab attack on Somali base

The death toll of Al Shabaab militants' attack on an African Union military base in western Somalia has jumped to 100, mostly Kenyan soldiers. Somalian Al Shabaab militant group said in a statement on Sunday.
They have stormed into the military base, killed more than 100 Kenyan soldiers, seized large quantity of weapons and military vehicles and kidnapped some Kenyan soldiers, the statement added.
The assault comes in retaliation for a manhunt launched by the Kenyan military to chase the members of the militant group in the country.
